Artist Profile: Anna Horsnell Wade
Artist, Anna Horsnell Wade was born in Nova Scotia in 1956, into the fifth generation of a very musical and artistic family. Creativity was inevitable and from the start painting seemed a natural instinct. She has worked and studied in various parts of Canada but now lives with her family outside Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
"Painting has always been an intrinsic part of who I am. My abstract work evolves from a personal challenge to reach farther and look deeper to communicate through my art."
"The beauty of abstract art begins with an invitation to consider new interpretations. Creating this work is totally dependent on my trusting the process, on trusting my instincts to reveal what I know, what I feel and see and hear. I respond through my own experience to this moment, and each work is a revelation. Originality of this nature is at times exhausting, always personal and endlessly satisfying."
The artist's work hangs in both public and private collections across North America including the Nova Scotia Art Bank.
