Artist Profile: Anna Horsnell Wade SCA
Anna Horsnell Wade, SCA is a self-taught artist who exhibits regularly in both solo and group shows, and is represented by various commercial galleries. She has worked and studied in various parts of Canada but now lives with her family outside Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
"Painting has always been an intrinsic part of who I am. My work evolves from a personal challenge to reach farther and look deeper to communicate through my art."
"The beauty of abstract and non-representational art begins with an invitation to consider personal interpretations. Creating this work is totally dependent on my trusting the process, on trusting my instincts to reveal what I know, what I feel and see and hear. I respond through my own experience to this moment, and each work is a revelation."
The artist's work hangs in both public and private collections across North America including the Nova Scotia Art Bank. She is also a featured artist in the books "Nova Scotia's Contemporary Artists: Volume II" and "International Women Celebrate!"
