Artist Profile: Wanda Szubielski
Wanda studied Architecture & Art History in Europe. In 1982 she immigrated to Nova Scotia and passionately become an artist.
After a long and successful career in architecture in early of 2006 Wanda decided to becomes a full time artist.
The powerful Nova Scotia shorelines have given Wanda an incredible vocabulary for the language of her art. In her abstracts she tries to capture the spirituality inherent where the land and sea meet. Consequently, her works combine astonishingly rich colors with dramatic visions of our existing landscape.
Wanda knows that she was put on earth for one reason – to create art depicting the beauty of the natural world that surrounds us and also of the way that nature can be spoiled by the actions of mankind.
A devoted environmentalist at heart, Wanda strongly believes in the preservation of the natural beauty that surrounds us, and hopes to inspire others to do the same with her works.
She has also been blessed by the incredible friendship of master artist, Dusan Kadlec. Wanda has always had a wonderful time sitting around his easel and passionately learning from his powerful techniques and vibrant brush strokes.
Wanda deeply hopes that her artworks cause people to see things that we all sometimes take for granted. She wants to inspire people to appreciate the natural beauty around us and to pass a strong message to her audience about the importance of preservation our coastlines landscapes. Wanda wants viewers not only to see her painting, but also to see into the painting!.
It is Wanda’s dream that her paintings bring peace, healing and balance to the viewer………!
