Description:
Deer Sculpture Carved from one solid piece of wood, a White Birch Burl, 14" high, 11" wide, 5" deep. This piece took over 200 hours to create. Finished with hemp oil. The burl came from New Brunswick, saved from the firewood pile. The grain of the wood was difficult to carve because of all the twists and turns. I am pleased with the finished piece. The piece is signed and dated by the artist, Acadian woodcarver Jamie Thibault. |
