Description: This obelisk is in my garden and I have painted it many times over the history of my garden with different flowers adorning it. This year it was white siberian iris. This technique I used in this piece is called scraffito, a scratching away to an undercolor while using paint that is wet and has some transparency in it by use of a medium. The result is a somewhat jewel tone effect. Vibrant juicy color.
This is an original signed piece of art. Remember that there is always so much more detail and subtle color than a photographic scan can capture, so if you like it here you will love it in person. It is ready to hang but a frame could be added if desired.
